Rising waters have led to urgent evacuations in Da Nang’s Me Suot area, as residents rush to secure belongings with the help of emergency responders.
As of 10 a.m. on November 5, heavy rains continued in Da Nang City. Some alleyways along Me Suot Street (Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District) – an area known as the city’s “flood center” – were severely flooded due to rapidly rising waters.
According to VietNamNet reporters at Alley 127 on Me Suot Street, many residents hurriedly gathered their belongings and evacuated as water began to seep into their homes. Border guards, military personnel, police officers, and local militia were present to help residents move their belongings and ensure safe evacuation.
Local residents reported that heavy rain started around 4 a.m., and by 8 a.m., water from the Me Xi Canal began flooding the streets, quickly inundating the area. Concerned about property damage, residents started raising their furniture early in the morning.
