Strengthen law enforcement, improve capacity and effectiveness of inter-sectoral coordination in preventing hunting and wildlife trafficking in Kien Giang province. Implement the campaign “Kien Giang Province says no to illegal use of wild animals”.
Specific activities will be implemented such as organizing a workshop to launch the campaign “Kien Giang province says no to illegal wildlife use”. Develop an action plan to strengthen law enforcement and combat illegal hunting and wildlife trafficking in Kien Giang province.
U Minh Thuong National Park coordinates with U Minh Thuong District People’s Committee to sign a commitment “No illegal trading, storing, or processing of wild animals” with food and restaurant businesses in the area. Coordinate with the authorities of communes in the buffer zone of U Minh Thuong National Park to organize seminars, cultural exchanges and community activities, integrating propaganda content to raise awareness. In addition, enhance the participation of the community in wildlife conservation.
